It’s On the Tip of My Toungue

Feelings …. Nothing more than feelings… yeah, that corny old song.

Seriously, feelings are not something to belittle. They are key when it comes to finding your way to that blissed-out life you know you want but don’t think is possible. It is possible! In all my mindset coach training, one thing stands out as vital… no matter what school of wellbeing, purpose finding or just stress reducing and depression squashing method you use, it all goes back to knowing what you are feeling in your current situation.

The concept is that whatever you are thinking about the situation you are in, causes the way you feel about that situation. Additionally, you base your decisions on what to do about that situation based on those feelings. So, it’s important that you are able to identify what that feeling is so you can recognize it and go to the thought to be sure it’s true.

This allows you to make the best decision for yourself. The decision that’s going to lead to MAXIMUM happiness.

Just the simple habit of pausing and taking inventory of what you are feeling is so valuable in reducing your stress. The hard part is to just recognize it, label it and acknowledge it. Nothing more. That simple habit is the first step to teaching yourself how to show up as the person you want to be.

Hey, Have You Seen My Sh*t … I’ve Lost It AGAIN

Identifying and acknowledging your feelings means you are the mom that has the ability to control your emotions so they don’t control you. No one wants to be that mom that that loses her ever love’n stuff’n over the small stuff.

Trust me, I’ve been THAT mom. And it’s not pretty.

“In other words, the less aware we are of our emotions, the less likely we are to figure out how to best regulate them”. https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/sweet-emotion/201408/why-labeling-emotions-matters

This is so simple it seems like it won’t work but it will. At one point in my life, when my kids were still little, my buns were numb from sitting on the couch not knowing what was going on in my life. I was stuck in pause. Then a neighborhood mom, who was from another country, took me under her wing and taught me how to do this. It was part of her cultural healthy-living lifestyle living the Ayurveda way. I was so desperate to get a grip so I tried it. It worked!

I know it will work for you too!

Now What?
